The sociology program offers a variety of courses for students interested in studying criminology to complement their major.

Criminology combines the sociological and psychological aspects of social relations to study the causes of crime and deviant behavior.

To complete a focus area in criminology, sociology majors need at least 12 semester hours of sociology courses at the 300 level or higher.
